Kaia Fowler writes in the folk, roots, and Americana tradition, influenced by blues, jazz, old hymns, and art songs. Kaia Fowler is best known for her soaring, luminous vocals featuring clear, bell-like high notes and bluesy, earthy low tones. She composes and performs interwoven vocal and guitar parts, harmoniously playing guitar – from delicate finger style to percussive strumming – as if in a duet with her vocals. She also plays American tiple – recently introduced to her by a longtime fan.

Kaia Fowler has been called "a tremendous lyricist" by the Americana Gazette (2010), and "a gifted songwriter and vocalist" by Chicago Public Radio Folk Festival host Lili Kuzma (2022). Based in Wisconsin, USA, she has performed at nationally recognized folk venues including at The Café Carpe, Fort Atkinson, Wis., and for Madison Folk Music Society events. Her latest album, One Breath, features songs of hope and healing and contemplates the Oneness of all. One Breath placed on the “Top Albums of the Month” Folk Alliance International chart for July 2022.
